## Set up nameservers

Nameservers decide **where DNS is managed**.

### Common scenarios

* You manage DNS at PreVPS.
* You manage DNS at Cloudflare.
* Your website provider manages DNS.

### Steps (generic)

1. Open the domain management page in the Client Area.
2. Find **Nameservers**.
3. Replace the current nameservers with the new ones.
4. Save.

### DNS propagation

Changes can take time to propagate. Expect minutes to 24–48 hours depending on caching.
